I believe that when working with couples one of my main focal points is to work towards creating a safe and compassionate environment for both parties to feel they are heard, understood, and supported. Providing containment and structure is oftentimes an important component in couples therapy and I have successfully worked with people presenting with complex and high conflict issues. I am open to working with couples of all configurations as well as being comfortable and skilled in thinking outside of the box when it comes to traditional and non-traditional relationship agreements and dynamics.
Some of the questions I help couples work on include:
- Struggles with depression and/or anxiety
- Increasing Self Esteem and understanding its origins
- Learning how to find one’s voice and feel more confident with being assertive
- Working through grief and loss whether it’s recent or from the past
- Gain clarity about past or current life choices and life transitions
- Issues with infertility
- Ambivalence with having children
- Co-parenting
- Infidelity
- Traditional verses non-traditional relationships
- Family conflict
- Sexuality/Intimacy
- Substance use and/or abuse
- Addictions
- Trust
- Ending a Relationship
- Setting Healthy Boundaries and Co-Dependency
- Dealing with the impact of childhood abuse
- Sexuality and Sexual Health
